About Us

Welcome to Little Redmond Daycare!

I am so excited to welcome your family into our learning community. My program's mission is to provide families in Redmond and surrounding communities with a safe, high-quality, early care with a focus on learning. My husband works in Tech and my two children attend school here in Redmond.

I have worked in the field of Early Care and Education for over 7 years and hold a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. I have held roles as a preschool teacher and as an Elementary School Para-educator in the Lake Washington School District. As a parent myself, I had found it difficult to find early care options that met my family needs, especially for my second child where I wanted a small group setting with a personalized touch, where one-on-one attention could be provided, but these options were either not available or were too expensive. The other issue was the lack of flexibility regarding food options and personalized activities, aligned with my child’s interest, which is not an option in large settings. Thus, I created Little Redmond to provide the community with a childcare option that combines a small, family-home setting with all the high-quality services you would expect from a large, childcare center, along with the customization you seek for your child’s development approach.

My foremost goal at Little Redmond is to provide a safe and happy environment for your child.

My early learning philosophy is strongly rooted in experiential learning. My primary role as an educator will be to prepare and provide an environment that is responsive to the needs and interests of each child in my care, and then to support and provide learning opportunities as the child shows interest and readiness.

The outdoor learning environment is also a very important part of my program. My experience working with children has taught me that children are curious and eager to explore the natural world outside the walls of our classroom and it also provides opportunity for lots of active play that is extremely important for early learners. This stimulates their curiosity and enhances their learning.

I look forward to building a continued partnership with you and your family.
